The role of learner autonomy on vocabulary learning

چکیده

Developing vocabulary is one of the important parts in foreign language learning. In other words, necessary not only for productive skills but also receptive skills. Thus, students have to continue development beyond classroom. Students plan, learn and monitor themselves while they are studying vocabulary. order achieve it, need be autonomous learners. Considering effect learner autonomy on learning, this study aimed identify what extent Turkish EFL were how affected their 26 preparatory class participated study. Data collected via scale, a pre-vocabulary test, post- students’ questionnaire with 1 open-ended question. Results showed that could categorized as moderately mean values items more than 3.19 (±1.021).
